เจาะลึก World Tour Mod V2: ยุคใหม่ของศิลปินอิสระ, การสร้างวง, และดราม่าวงการเพลง! พร้อมแปลไทย

สวัสดีชาวซิมส์ทุกคน! ได้ยินไม่ผิดหรอก เรากลับมาแล้วกับการอัปเดตครั้งใหญ่สำหรับ WORLD TOUR V2! หลังจากรวบรวมความคิดเห็นจากทุกแพลตฟอร์ม ผู้พัฒนาได้จดลงสมุดเล่มโปรดและเริ่มพัฒนาฟีเจอร์ใหม่ๆ ที่รับรองว่าทุกคนจะต้องถูกใจแน่นอน มาดูกันว่ามีอะไรใหม่บ้าง!

1. ศิลปินอิสระ

หนึ่งในสิ่งที่ถูกขอเข้ามามากที่สุด (นอกเหนือจากเรื่องวงดนตรี) คือความสามารถในการให้ซิมส์เป็น “ศิลปินอิสระ” (Independent Artists) อย่างแท้จริง โดยไม่ต้องง้อค่ายเพลงในการแสดงหรือทำอัลบั้ม

ใน V2 นี้ ศิลปินอิสระคือจุดเชื่อมต่อระหว่าง “นักแต่งเพลง” และ “ศิลปินมีสังกัด” บทบาทนี้จะคล้ายกับศิลปินค่ายแต่มีความท้าทายมากกว่า!

• ทำอะไรได้บ้าง: อัปโหลดเพลงลงแพลตฟอร์ม, สร้างรายได้, สร้างฐานแฟนคลับ และส่งโปรเจกต์อัลบั้มได้ด้วยตัวเอง (แต่ต้องจ่ายเงินเองนะ!)
• World Tour Panel: ศิลปินอิสระจะเข้าถึงแผงควบคุม World Tour (เดิมชื่อ Independent Artists Panel) เพื่อจัดคอนเสิร์ต อัดเพลง หรือทัวร์คอนเสิร์ต
• ความท้าทาย: เพราะไม่มีค่ายหนุนหลัง คุณต้องจ่ายค่าใช้จ่ายล่วงหน้าเองทั้งหมด และบางอย่างอาจทำได้ยากกว่า
• รางวัล: มีช่วงเวลาสำหรับการเสนอชื่อเข้าชิงรางวัลสำหรับศิลปินอิสระโดยเฉพาะ
• วิธีการเป็น: แค่ลงทะเบียนก็เริ่มได้เลย! แต่ถ้าซิมส์ไปเซ็นสัญญากับค่าย สถานะศิลปินอิสระจะหายไปทันที

2. สัญญาแบบใหม่ ไม่ผูกมัดตลอดชีพ (It’s in the Contract)

หมดยุคทาสค่ายเพลง! ซิมส์จะไม่ติดสัญญาทาสตลอดชีวิตอีกต่อไป

• ระยะเวลาสัญญา: เมื่อเซ็นสัญญา จะมี Pop-up ให้เลือกเฟ้นระยะเวลาสัญญา (ปัจจุบันมี 3 แบบ)
• เงื่อนไข: ตัวเลือกบางอย่างจะปลดล็อกตามคุณสมบัติ เช่น ทักษะการร้อง, ชื่อเสียง, จำนวนแฟนคลับ, ทักษะการแต่งเพลง, ชื่อเสียง (Reputation), หรือการมีนิสัย Industry Plant/Industry Darling
• การแจ้งเตือน: จะมีมู้ดเล็ต (Moodlet) บอกระยะเวลาที่เหลือ เมื่อสัญญาหมดอายุ มู้ดเล็ตจะหายไปและมีแจ้งเตือนให้คุณต่อสัญญาใหม่
• หมายเหตุ: ระบบนี้ใช้กับซิมส์ที่สร้าง หลัง การอัปเดตนี้เท่านั้น ซิมส์เก่าจะยังติดสัญญาตลอดชีพเหมือนเดิม (ต้องออกจากงานแล้วสมัครใหม่ถึงจะได้ระบบใหม่)

3. แพลตฟอร์มที่หลากหลาย (More Platforms More Problems)

จากเดิมที่มีแค่ Cow Tunes ตอนนี้เราขยายเป็น 3 แพลตฟอร์ม! ได้แก่ Cow Tunes, Freezer Bunny Beats, และ Llamafy

• คุณสามารถเลือกได้ว่าแพลตฟอร์มไหนเหมาะกับซิมส์ของคุณ
• แต่ละที่มีสิทธิประโยชน์ ค่าสมาชิก และเรื่องราว (Lore) ต่างกัน
• ตัวอย่าง: ผู้ใช้ Llamafy จะติดต่อกับผู้บริหารค่ายเพลงได้ง่ายขึ้น และมีโอกาสได้เซ็นสัญญากับ Maxis Music มากขึ้น

4. ยอดสตรีมมิ่ง (Are You Still Streaming?)

เพิ่มระบบ Music Streams! เมื่อปล่อยเพลง ยอดสตรีมจะขึ้นหรือลงเหมือนยอดแฟนคลับ ซิมส์สามารถเช็กยอดสตรีมได้ผ่านมือถือหรือคอมพิวเตอร์

5. การสร้างวงดนตรี (One Band One Sound)

สิ่งที่ทุกคนรอคอยมาแล้ว! โมดูลแรกของ World Tour คือ “I’m With the Band” (ระบบสร้างวงดนตรี) ซึ่งแยกเป็นอีกส่วนหนึ่ง

6. ยุคสมัยทางดนตรี (Dawn of a New Era)

เพิ่มความลึกในการเล่าเรื่องด้วยระบบ Music Eras (ยุคทางดนตรี)

• ทั้งศิลปินค่ายและอิสระสามารถเลือก “Enter Music Era” ได้
• มี 7 ยุคให้เลือก (ไม่มีกำหนดเวลา จะอยู่ในยุคนั้นนานเท่าไหร่ก็ได้)
• มีได้ทีละ 1 ยุค ถ้าจะเปลี่ยนต้องกด “Abandon music era” (ละทิ้งยุคเดิม) ก่อน
• ผลกระทบ: การเลือกยุคส่งผลต่อความสัมพันธ์กับแฟนคลับ, ชื่อเสียง, ภาพลักษณ์ และค่ายเพลง (มีทั้งบวกและลบ) ค่ายเพลงอาจโทรมาหาคุณด้วย!
• เงื่อนไข: แฟนคลับและค่ายจะตอบสนองก็ต่อเมื่อซิมส์กด “ประกาศ” (Announce) ยุคใหม่ผ่านมือถือหรือคอมฯ แล้วเท่านั้น

7. นิสัยใหม่ในวงการ (Industry Duality)

เพิ่ม 2 Traits ใหม่ที่หาได้ใน CAS หรือได้จากการเล่นเกม:

1. Industry Darling (ลูกรักวงการ): (ซิมส์ชั่วร้าย/ใจร้าย เป็นไม่ได้) ทำกิจกรรมอย่าง Livestream กับแฟนคลับ หรือ Meet & Greets ได้
2. Industry Plant (เด็กเส้น/เด็กปั้น): (ซิมส์นิสัยดี เป็นไม่ได้) ส่งข่าวให้บล็อกเพื่อปั่นกระแสชื่อเสียง, แฟนคลับ หรือยอดสตรีมได้

• การได้มา: มีโอกาสเล็กน้อยที่จะได้นิสัยเหล่านี้ผ่านการเล่นเกม หรือซื้อรางวัลราคา 5000 แต้มเพื่อลบนิสัยออกได้

8. เปลี่ยนชื่อแผงควบคุม (All In The Name)

Independent Artist Panel (IAP) ถูกเปลี่ยนชื่อเป็น World Tour Panel (WTP) เพื่อไม่ให้สับสน เพราะตอนนี้มีระบบศิลปินอิสระแยกออกมาแล้ว แต่การใช้งานยังเหมือนเดิมและมีของเล่นใหม่เพิ่มเข้ามา

9. เลือกสถานที่แสดงได้เอง (Encore Encore Encore!)

เพื่อการเล่าเรื่องที่ดีขึ้น ตอนนี้คุณเลือกได้แล้วว่าซิมส์จะไปแสดงที่ไหน!

• ตัวเลือกจะปลดล็อกตามระดับชื่อเสียง (ไต่เต้าจากที่เล็กไปที่ใหญ่)
• หมายเหตุ: ศิลปินอิสระไม่สามารถทำ Residency (การแสดงประจำ) ได้

10. ระบบทัณฑ์บนแบบใหม่ (You’re on Probation)

ปรับปรุงระบบการลงโทษให้แบ่งเป็นระดับชั้น (Tiers) ไม่โหดร้ายทันทีแบบเมื่อก่อน:

• Level 1: แค่ตักเตือน ห้ามทำกิจกรรมบางอย่าง เช่น ถ่ายแบบหรือออกรายการทอล์กโชว์
• Level 2: โดนแบนจาก WTP 48 ชั่วโมง และส่งเพลงให้ค่ายไม่ได้
• Level 3: โดนแบน 5 วัน (เหมือน V1) และมีโอกาสถูกไล่ออก!
• ทางแก้: สามารถไปพบผู้บริหารค่ายเพื่อขอลดโทษหรือล้างประวัติได้ (ต้องติดโทษระดับ 2 หรือ 3 ก่อนถึงทำได้)

11. รีวิวเพลง (One Bad Review)

เมื่อผลงานผ่านการอนุมัติ มีโอกาสสุ่มที่จะได้รับ Music Reviews (คำวิจารณ์) มีทั้งดีและแย่ ซึ่งจะส่งผลให้เกิดมู้ดเล็ตกับซิมส์

12. ความยาวทัวร์คอนเสิร์ต (How Long is the Show?)

• เลือกความยาวทัวร์ได้: 3 วัน, 5 วัน หรือ 7 วัน
• วัยรุ่น (Teens): ไปทัวร์ได้แล้ว! และสามารถทำการบ้านระหว่างทัวร์ได้ด้วย

13. ความสงบสุขจากโทรศัพท์ (Protect Your Peace)

ปรับลดความถี่ที่ค่ายเพลงจะโทรมาจิก! (เพิ่มระยะเวลาเป็น 2-3 เท่า) ยิ่งถ้าอัลบั้มปังหรือทัวร์สำเร็จ ค่ายจะแฮปปี้และไม่โทรมากวนใจสักพักใหญ่

14. การย้ายค่าย (Switching Sides)

บางครั้งค่ายอื่นอาจติดต่อมาชวนให้ย้ายสังกัด! คุณสามารถปฏิเสธได้ แต่ถ้าตอบตกลงอาจทำลายความสัมพันธ์กับค่ายเดิม (และถ้าซมซานกลับไปค่ายเดิม อาจโดนเย็นชาใส่นะ)

15. โดนแบนจากวงการ (The Ball is Not in Your Court)

หนักกว่าทัณฑ์บนคือการโดน Blackballed (คว่ำบาตร/แบนถาวร)

• เกิดจากเหตุการณ์บางอย่างที่ทำให้ซิมส์ได้ Trait และบัฟพิเศษ
• ผลลัพธ์: ถูกแบนจาก World Tour Panel, เสียแฟนคลับ, ยอดสตรีม และสัญญาเพลงทั้งหมด (เหมือนรีเซ็ตใหม่)
• ทางรอด: เป็นเหตุการณ์ที่เกิดได้ยาก (Rare) แต่ถ้าโดนก็มี Reward พิเศษซื้อเพื่อขอโอกาสที่สองได้

16. การสร้างอัลบั้มแบบใหม่ (A New Creation)

• ต้องใช้คอมพิวเตอร์กด “Finalize Album”
• จำนวนเพลง: ต้องใช้ 12 เพลง (จากเดิม 8) / ส่วน EP ยังใช้ 4 เพลงเท่าเดิม
• ไอเทม: เมื่อทำเสร็จจะได้ไอเทม “The Blank Album” เข้าตัว
• Tracklist: สามารถกดที่อัลบั้มเพื่อเปลี่ยนชื่อ (Rename) และใส่รายชื่อเพลงได้ (จำกัด 1000 ตัวอักษร)
• ส่งงานผ่านคอมพิวเตอร์เหมือนเดิม

17. กำหนด Vibe ของเพลง (Set The Tone)

เพิ่มการเล่าเรื่องให้ไฟล์เพลง (World Tour File)

• เมื่อวางไฟล์เพลงในโลก สามารถกด “Select the Vibe” เพื่อเลือกอารมณ์เพลง (เช่น สนุกสนาน, เกรี้ยวกราด)
• ซิมส์ที่อยู่ใกล้ๆ จะได้รับมู้ดเล็ตตาม Vibe นั้นๆ
• แผ่นเพลงมีการเก่าตามเวลา (จาก New Record ไปจนถึง Diamond Record)

18. ระวังสิ่งที่อัปโหลด (Be Careful What You Upload)

การปล่อยเพลงอาจนำปัญหามาให้ แฟนเก่าอาจโผล่มา หรือคู่แข่งอาจออกมาโจมตี นอกจากนี้เพลงยังมีโอกาส “หลุด” (Leaked) ก่อนกำหนดได้ (ศิลปินอิสระมีโอกาสโดนมากกว่า)

19. สัญญา 360 แบบใหม่ (360 Not 180)

• ถ้าชนะคดีในศาลเพื่อยกเลิกสัญญา 360 จะได้มู้ดเล็ตมีความสุขและแจ้งเตือน
• ทางเลือกใหม่: สามารถ “ซื้อสัญญาคืน” (Buyout) ผ่านโทรศัพท์ได้เลยโดยไม่ต้องขึ้นศาล

20. อีเวนต์พิเศษ (Special Events)

• ไม่ต้องรอคำเชิญ! ถ้าซิมส์มีชื่อเสียงระดับ 3 หรือ Charisma ระดับ 5 (หรือทักษะอื่นๆ ที่เกี่ยวข้อง) สามารถกดเข้าร่วมอีเวนต์ได้เอง
• อีเวนต์ใหม่:
  • Thyme & Plate: รายการทำอาหารที่ซิมส์ของคุณได้เป็นพิธีกร
  • Double Take: รายการแฟชั่นบน SimsTube วิจารณ์การแต่งตัวในอดีตของซิมส์

21. เลือกแนวเพลง (Pick a Genre… Any Genre)

ฟีเจอร์ที่เคยเป็นสูตรโกง ตอนนี้มาเป็นทางการแล้ว ศิลปินสามารถกดที่ตัวซิมส์เพื่อ “Choose Genre” (เลือกแนวเพลง) เพื่อการเล่าเรื่องได้

22. หอเกียรติยศ (Hall of Famer)

ศิลปินระดับตำนานอาจได้รับเลือกเข้า Hall of Fame! มีพิธีมอบรางวัล ได้รับ Trait และบัฟ รวมถึงได้เงินค่าตอบแทนอัลบั้มเพิ่มขึ้นด้วย

23. เรียลลิตี้โชว์ (Things Are Getting Messy)

ซิมส์นักดนตรีอาจได้รับเชิญไปถ่ายรายการเรียลลิตี้!

• ต้องหายตัวไปถ่ายทำไม่กี่วัน
• กลับมาพร้อมบัฟและบทบาทที่ได้รับ (เช่น เป็นขวัญใจ, เป็นดาวเด่น หรือเป็นนางร้าย!) ซึ่งส่งผลต่ออาชีพ
• ได้รับค่าตัวจากการถ่ายทำ

ทิ้งท้าย

ผู้พัฒนากำลังทำ V3 และ Module #2 ต่อทันที โดยทิ้งคำใบ้ (Easter Egg) ไว้ในอัปเดตนี้ด้วยว่าธีมจะเป็นยังไง (เน้นเรื่อง Eras ต่อไป)

Are you ready for the next leg of the tour?

Hey Everybody!!!! YES you heard right, we are back for the next big update for WORLD TOUR!

I’ve taken so much of the things you’ve all said across platforms and decided to get my little handy dandy notebook and pen and started working on some of the new features and updates I think you’ll be quite happy with!

FINALLY INDEPENDENT

One of the things that was requested the most (besides bands) was the ability for sims to become true independent artists who didn’t need to rely on the record labels to do things like performing or making albums.

Originally, there were two paths you could follow: Songwriters & Signed Artists. Well now with V2, I’m bringing in a new path for Independent Artists!

Independent Artists in my mind are the bridge between Songwriters and Signed Artists. This new role is similar to any signed artist but with a few exceptions and a lot of challenges! Like with Songwriters, Indie Artists can upload music to any platform and make money and build a fandom. But like Signed Artists, Indie Artists can submit music projects such as Albums on their own behalf! (With a cost of course)

Under the new World Tour App, Indie Artists will have access to the World Tour Panel (Formally known as Independent Artists Panel) and can do things such as perform concerts, record music, even go on tour. What makes them different is that many of these activities will come at a cost to you! Without a label backing them up financially, indie artists will need to foot a lot of the bill upfront and sometimes it might seem more difficult to get certain things done! If you want to submit music to be nominated for an award, there’s now a window of time for Independent Artists that will help determine if they get a nomination!

Becoming an Indie Artist is simple, all they need to do is register for it and they’re good to go! If you choose to have your sim join a label, they’ll lose their indie artist title and switch over to their respective label!

Note: V1 had the interaction “Register as Independent Artist” this now functions differently where your sims register becoming an independent artist instead of signing up for the World Tour Panel. V2 has renamed the IAP to the World Tour Panel.

ITS IN THE CONTRACT

Speaking of record labels, this update has a new look when it comes to signing with record labels!

For starters, Sims no longer have lifetime contracts with any record label! After securing a record deal (like before) your sims will be given a new pop up prompting them to select just how long their contract should last! There are currently 3!

Some options are only available if your sims meet the requirements! (Singing Skill, Fame, Fandom Count, Songwriting Skill, Reputation, Being an Industry Plant or Industry Darling all contribute to having more options)

After selecting a contract you’ll be given a visual reminder (i.e. moodlet) telling you just how long you have with your active contract. Once the moodlet expires, so does the contract and you’ll get a notification telling you as such! When the contract expires you’ll need to go through the process again!

NOTE: Contracts will only affect Sims made AFTER this update! Any pre-existing sims will have their lifetime contracts in tact! Sims before this change can still can contracts but will need to quit their labels first.

MORE PLATFORMS MORE PROBLEMS

My early vision of World Tour only saw Cow Tunes as the only music platform in the music business but since then, we’ve expanded. Now there are 3 total platforms for your sims to join! Introducing Freezer Bunny Beats & Llamafy! Before you’d have to go through Cowtunes but I’ve reworked that to where you can choose which one is right for your sim!

Each platform has their own unique benefits, membership fees and lore! All 3 will allow songwriters/artists to upload their own projects and connect with other individuals but depending on the platform you’re on, the more perks you can potentially unlock. For example, Llamafy users can find it easier to connect with record executives and if you choose to pursue a record deal with Maxis Music, you’ll have a higher chance of scoring a deal.

ARE YOU STILL STREAMING?

Introducing something that I thought would be a cute idea: Music Streams! Like with fans, when artists submit music stream numbers will increase/decrease! Sims can check the amount of streams they’re getting by checking their phone or PC!

ONE BAND ONE SOUND

Something I KNOW you guys have been asking about is the ability to create bands! And I’d like to think I’ve made it work in some form! Which introduces to our first world tour module “I’m With the Band”!

DAWN OF A NEW ERA

Artists can now enter their own Music Era!

Music Eras add a bit of storytelling for your sims as they can define what kind of artist they want to be! Both Signed & Independent Artists can declare a music era. Simply Click on your sim and choose “Enter Music Era”

You’ll be given a pop up with 7 Eras to choose from:

I didn’t want to give time limits on eras so you can have an era last as long as you desire! Your sim can only have one era active at a time, so if you want to switch to a new one, you’ll have to abandon your current one. You can do so by clicking on your sim and select abandon music era!

Choosing a defined Music Era can affect your sims relationships with fans, fame, reputation and even their record label if they have one! Some will be positive and some can be negative. You may even get calls from your label after entering an era:

Note: Fans and the Label will only react to the new era if your sims Announce it either on their phone or on the computer!

Future Updates will add custom wants for each era!

INDUSTRY DUALITY

Adding a little more spice to your sims gameplay cause why not! I’ve introduced 2 new traits:

Industry Darling & Industry Plant.

In V1, Sims could call another sim an Industry plant and make them Industry Rivals. WELL now we have actual Industry Plants! These traits can be found in CAS. They can also be added through gameplay! (Note: Evil & Mean Sims cannot be Industry Darlings and Good Sims cannot be Industry Plant)

Industry Darling:

Industry Plant :

Both have different gameplay as well as interactions! For example, Industry Plants can send information to blogs to get influence their reputation, fame, fan levels and even music streams! Industry Darlings can do things like do Livestreams with Fans or do Meet & Greets.

I mentioned through gameplay, there’s a small chance that your sims will get an opportunity to gain either the Industry Darling or Industry Plant trait!

And if you’re tired of whichever path you choose you can purchase a reward for 5000 points to get either trait removed!

ALL IN THE NAME

As I mentioned earlier, the IAP or Independent Artist Panel is going through an identity crisis, i mean, name change! It is now called the World Tour Panel! I realized that now with Independent Artists are now a thing in this mod, it made more sense to change it as not to confuse people. Don’t worry it still functions as it did before but with some new fun things added!

ENCORE ENCORE ENCORE!

An update I wanted to bring to the table from V1 is having more options in where your sims can perform. I want to stress that this is JUST for storytelling! Previously, your sims went to a concert or a festival and called it a day. Now you can choose Where they go!

At first, many of these options will need to be unlocked! Depending on their fame level it will determine which venues or festivals your sims can perform at! This will give a sense of working your way up to something!

(NOTE: Independent Artists will not be able to do a Residency)

YOURE ON PROBATION

Everyone’s FAVORITE feature has had an upgrade as well! After doing some reflecting and reading comments, I’ve decided that Probation levels are a bit too harsh right off the bat. So I’ve decided to create a tier of probation levels instead!

There are 3 Levels of Probation.

Probation Level 1: This is more of a slap on the wrist kind of deal. Sims wont be able access certain things like photoshoots or talk shows. Harmless right?

Probation Level 2: This will sting a bit more as you’ll be banned from the WTP for 48 hours AND they wont be able to submit music to the labels at this time.

Probation Level 3: This is the same as the one in V1. 5 Days from being banned from the IAP. Good luck to everyone! BUT there is a twist….there’s a chance that your sim can be let go if they get this probation!

If you’re looking to ease the probation or wipe the slate clean, have your sims meet with the record executives and there’s a chance your sims can either get the probation removed from the record or at the very least reduced (Probation Level 2 or 3 required to reduce).

ONE BAD REVIEW

When Music Projects are accepted, there’s a chance your sims will get Music Reviews! It’s random but there’s good reviews and bad reviews! When Artists get reviews they’ll also get a moodlet showing how they felt about it!

HOW LONG IS THE SHOW?

Something small I wanted to add was different tour lengths! So now you can choose between the standard 3 days, 5 days or 7 days for a tour length!

I’ve also added for Teens to be able to go on tour as well! And don’t worry about their homework, teens will have plenty of time to do them while on the road!

PROTECT YOUR PEACE

Small adjustment has been made to the labels who are constantly calling your sims every 5 to 10 business seconds! I’ve now doubled (or was it tripled?) the amount of time it’ll take for the labels to give out their warnings! So now you don’t have to worry about them calling so often!

To help out with this as well, whenever sims have an album accepted or they go on tour, Labels will be VERY VERY VERY happy so you shouldn’t hear from them for a while!

SWITCHING SIDES

From Time to Time, depending on certain events, artists may be asked by OTHER labels if they’d like to join them! Obviously you can decline however should you accept the tempting offer, you’ll run the risk of the harming any relationship you have with your former label! (Labels talk you know?)

Should you choose to go back to the previous label for any reason (including for the plot) you MIGHT get the cold shoulder so be aware!

THE BALL IS NOT IN YOUR COURT

If you thought Probation is bad, then your sims don’t understand the pain coming from being blackballed!

Certain events can cause problems for your sims and one of those problems is being blackballed in the music industry!

If this unfortunate result happens, your sim will get a notification + buff:

Not only that but they’ll get this trait here:

Artists that are blackballed are effectively banned from the World Tour Panel! Think of this as a reset and sims will lose all their fans, music streams, record deals!

Don’t worry this is a RARE occurrence but be careful about the choices you make!

But because I’m not a total monster, I’ve added a reward (or safety net) for your sims who are looking for a second chance:

A NEW CREATION

Albums have now been restructured in a way! In V1, you simply just uploaded your music files and would ship the items off. Well now let’s get more creative with that! Now, in V2, Sims will need to go on the computer to “Finalize Album”. It works similar from before with making sure you have the correct songs you want to get rid of and you’ll need 12 TRACKS (opposed from the Original 8). ~This Also has been updated for the Make EP Interaction (4 Tracks still remains)

Once you’ve finalized your album, your sims will get a new object in their inventory: THE BLANK ALBUM

Now you might’ve noticed that there are some words floating on the album…that’s because you can now add a tracklist to your album!

Just click on the object and Rename it:

There’s a Character Limit of 1000 I believe! Good enough to have 12 songs easy! I would like to explain that when you hover over your album, it doesn’t show ALL of the titles (as you see above) mine only went to 11. Not sure if that’s just by design or what have you but the tracklist will still have all the things listed!

And just like with V1 you send it off in the computer and wait for the call!

Speaking of Calls….

I’ve reworked the phone calls for when sims get calls from their labels! So now you shouldn’t miss them!

SET THE TONE

Something that else that was added along with album creation was the ability to select a vibe for individual tracks! In life, songs can take on many different moods so this idea was to add storytelling for example a song could bring a happy, joyful vibe while another one is more on the angry, vicious vibes.

Once your sims have World Tour File, place it in the world and you’ll be able to Select the Vibe:

Then Choose the Vibe:

And any time your sim is around that song/object you’ll get a different moodlet for each vibe:

You can also see what type of vibe that’s set:

You may have noticed “New Record” well that’s because I’ve added a new record age to the files! So now the records will age over time going from new record to diamond record!

BE CAREFUL WHAT YOU UPLOAD

Uploading music has the possibility to create issues! Exes may come out of the woodworks if they see you’ve published music and Industry Rivals will finally speak out and call you about some of the “issues”!

There’s also a chance your song may get leaked online! (higher chance if you’re an independent artist!)

360 NOT 180

Artists that have found themselves in a 360 deal were able to go to a court hearing to get their status removed….this has not changed. HOWEVER, what has changed is the fact that sims who win their cases will get a happy moodlet and a notification, alerting you of the good news!

If you’d rather skip the courts and would prefer to handle things outright, you can buyout of your 360 Contract over the Phone!

SPECIAL EVENTS

In V1, sims could be invited to special events after doing things like photoshoots or performing but I wanted to unlock the ability for sims to go whenever they wanted!

Sims can still be invited like before but this gives more into the gameplay/storytelling elements. Your Sims will need to be at least Fame Level 3 or have Level 5 in Charisma to access most of these events. Some exceptions would be events that require other skills (Wellness, Fitness, Acting, Comedy or Videogaming) ~these are optional in place of fame level

I’ve also added 2 new events/opportunities:

Thyme & Plate: A cooking show where YOUR sim gets to be the host!

Double Take: A Fashion Web series on SimsTube going over the fashion choices your sim has made in the past!

PICK A GENRE…ANY GENRE

Originally in V1 as a cheat, I realized not many people knew this was a feature but i’m making it more present in this update. Artists (Signed or Not) can assign a music genre. Purely for gameplay/storytelling. Just click on your sim and select “Choose Genre”.

HALL OF FAMER

While rare, Artists may be selected to join the HALL OF FAME!

Sims will be taken to the ceremony where I’m sure speeches and heartfelt tributes will be held. They’ll even receive a trait and a buff from the event. Hall of Famers also receive a little extra money when submitting albums

THINGS ARE GETTING MESSY

Are your sims ready for their closeup? Good! Cause word around town is a new reality show is being filmed and they’re looking for musicians! Like other special events, Sims will get a phone call:

Give or take a few days after the confirmation they’ll be prompted to leave for the filming location and will be gone for a few days.

When sims return they’ll be given a notification and a few buffs about the role they played while filming!

Depending on the role they played, Sims may end up being the Darling or Star of the show OR they’ll be the TV Villian. Either way it can help or hurt your sims career after filming! And Dont worry your sims will be PAID!

V3 IN PRODUCTION

Speaking of Production….V3 is already in the works (cause y’all know me) AS well as Module #2! I’ve left an easter egg or two about what the vibes will be for V3 and for the new module so I’m curious if anyone can spot them!

Obviously without giving too much away I do want to build on what’s been added in V2 especially the ERAS!
