Refreshed Loading Screen Mod for The Sims 4 (recreated) Randomized Backgrounds
In October 2024, Sims Community shared a post about a leaked new loading screen for The Sims 4, rumored to be coming in the near future. (As of now, it’s still not available).
I’ve tried to recreate it to the best of my abilities (spent hours learning the coding bts), and this is what I’ve come up with!
Currently, the mod features 12 randomized backgrounds, one for each of the first 12 expansion packs in the game. I’m planning to add more backgrounds in the future and refine these based on your feedback after testing the mod.
The mod supports a 16:9 aspect ratio, 21:9 (ultrawide), and everything in between. I’d greatly appreciate it if you could test it and let me know if it works well for you!
Due to adding support for different resolutions, I’ve made a few adjustments:
- No “shadow plumbob”: In my mod, the main plumbob is fixed in position, which makes it impossible to recreate the “shadow plumbob” without also fixing its position. Unfortunately, resizing it isn’t an option since the shadow is cropped, and resizing it further distorts its shape. (picture 1)
- Smaller game tips: I had to reduce the size of the game tips to ensure they fit properly on widescreen monitors.

INSTALLATION:
- Click on the .package file bellow to download.
- Move the file to: C:\Users\YourUsername\Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4\Mods\
- DON’T use any other loading screen mods. If the mod doesn’t work properly, or the game doesn’t start correctly, try removing any other UI mod you are using (e.g. colored interface while in game)
- Start the game
This mod works with mods like UI cheats, More Collumns, MCCC…
I would love if y’all tried this mod I worked so hard on and let me know if there are any bugs or changes needing to be made.
PLEASE do NOT make changes to the mod and/or claim it as your own.
Mods like this one break with patches.
