Welcome to certainly my proudest work on a world mod to date. 10 years ago I’ve started doing world mods for The Sims 4. As someone coming from an international family it has always been my biggest priority to bring more representation to The Sims 4.
The Sims 4 African Savanna has been developed in exchange with Rodney Ochieng (a Simmer from Kenya), momo’s mojo (from Zambia) and MyshunoMD (from Western Africa) to realize a world that is inspired by the Savanna biome in Africa. The world is intended to be a blank slate where you can create anything you want.
Features in v.1.0:
- completely revamped world with new scenery pieces, new gameplay areas
- fishing spots (base game) and rabbit holes and bird trees (Cottage Living)
- custom seasons with hot weather almost all the time
- custom lighting
Required Packs: Werewolves (the world it replaces is Moonwood Mill), most expansion packs (except City Living)
Recommended Packs: My Wedding Stories, Outdoor Retreat, Jungle Adventures
Important:
The mod doesn’t come with new lots, meaning you’ll have to manually remove/replace the lots from Tartosa to get the full experience! The name of the world is still going to appear as “Moonwood Mill”, however there’s tutorials on how to change that manually for each save on YouTube.
INSTALLATION:
- 1. Download ONE of the versions from down below and open the zip-File.
- 2. Put the content of the folder called “MODS FOLDER into your mods folder.
- 3. Open your installation folder of The Sims 4, within the EA app. Usually it’s something like “ C:\Program Files (x86)\EA Games\The Sims 4″
- 4. Open the folder “DELTA” (that’s very important), then “GP12”, then “Worlds” and then “Areas”
- 5. Replace the file GP12_Town_01 with the one provided in the download.
ON MAC:
Open “Finder”. Look up “The Sims 4”. Right click it to “Show Package Content”. Click “Content”. There you’ll find the DELTA folder.
- 5. Make a backup of your files in that folder and then place down and replace the old file called
- (Impotant Note: With each update for The Sims 4 you will have to repeat this step as this file gets updated and replaced with each update.)
- 6. Boot up the game and enjoy!
If you encounter bugs or issues, please head over to the official Discord.
Thank you so much for your interest in my world mods. I really hope you enjoy it! Also a big big thank you to everyone who has been part of this mod, anyone who helped me out with small issues!
Special Thanks to:
TwistedMexi for his CAW Tool that released during this mod’s development time, it helped out a lot in my work speed.
Zerbu‘s amazing World Welding Tool that he developed because of this mod.
All of this wouldn’t have been possible without them! Thanks a lot!
