I’m back with a new base-game compatible skill mod for your Sims: Ballet! This 10-level skill includes lots of custom animations, a career, a barre object, and Maxis-Match leotards and dancing shoes. Higher levels will unlock performable variations.
Initially, your Sims will only be able to practice ballet at the Dancing Spot or the Barre. I recommend spreading out the dance spots to give your Sims room to move. Your Sims will also only ever autonomously practice here because the animations travel quite a bit! (There is an invisible swatch too.)
There are also leotards, tights, dance shoes, and a tutu which serve as uniforms for the career. If you don’t plan on playing with the career or the CAS items you can delete them both. The tutu is animated for the combinations and variations (NOT the barre – it will clip).
The career is available to teens and older. The first five levels of the career all occur during after school hours, so your teens can still attend school while they train. Eventually they will need to choose the Dance Teacher or the Company Dancer track.
Ballet dancing is also available as a club activity.
Skill Level Information
- Level 1 – Your Sims can practice at the Barre or Dancing Spot.
- Level 2 – Your Sims can Practice Combinations by clicking on them and Discuss Great Ballets.
- Level 3 – You can Research Ballet on the computer.
- Level 4 – You can Watch and Learn from other Sims.
- Level 5 – Adult and Child Sims can perform the Clara variation.
- Level 6 – Adult Sims can perform the Flower Festival variation.
- Level 7 – Adult Sims can perform the Giselle variation.
- Level 8 – Adult Sims can perform the Peasant variation.
- Level 9 – Adult Sims can perform the Odile variation.
- Level 10 – You can Mentor other Sims in the Ballet Skill.
