✨ How to install and play: ✨
- Grab the newest .package file and place into your mods folder
- ⚠️ Download the Homestead Helper Mod – REQUIRED ⚠️
- Browse through the collections page or the bulk download to grab the recipes you want
- Optional object add-ons – more objects to access the pie menu
I organise mine like this:
TheSims4/Mods/GranniesCookbook(folder) – place download in here
In Game:
- you can find ‘Grannies Old Cookbook’ in the small appliances section in the kitchen
- place the cookbook anywhere on your lot (I find the kitchen to be most suited)
can also be accessed directly from your sims inventory. - click to bring up the pie menu and have your sim cook 🍽
- Can rename + gift the book.

📚 Cookbooks ‘How To’ Guide

I thought I would put together a short guide to help with installing and playing with my cookbook mods including the Homestead Helper 👩🍳
This is intended to be a quick ‘how to’ page for those new to my cooking mods – for more in-depth detail please see the individual mod download pages.

👵📕Grannies Cookbook
To play with Grannies Cookbook please download and place into your mods folder the following:
- Grannies Cookbook (food enabler as an interactable book object)
- The Homestead Helper (contains cooking props and is also an interactable basket)
- Bulk Recipes or Individual recipes via the ‘Collections’ tabs.
In game:
- You can find Grannies Cookbook under the ‘Small Appliances’ category in the Kitchen tab.
- Place on a surface or your sims inventory & click the book to interact with the pie menu.

🏰 Medieval Cookbook
To play with the Medieval Cookbook please download and place into your mods folder the following:
- Medieval Cookbook (food enabler as an interactable book object)
- The Homestead Helper (contains cooking props and is also an interactable basket)
- Medieval Recipe Starter Pack and/or Individual recipes via the ‘Medieval Collection’ tab.
- Optional Addition – Hearths (functional fireplace stoves)
In game:
- You can find the Medieval Cookbook under the ‘Small Appliances’ category in the Kitchen tab – there are 2 versions to choose from.
- Place on a surface & click the book to interact with the pie menu.

🌿🧺Homestead Helper
To play with the Homestead Helper please download and place into your mods folder the following:
- The Homestead Helper (contains cooking props and is also an interactable basket)
- Any of the different recipes available under the ‘Homesteading’ collection page and ‘Homemade Ingredients’ collection page.
In game:
- You can find the Homestead Helper under the ‘Small Appliances’ category in the Kitchen tab.
- Place on a surface & click the basket to interact with the pie menu.
